Míchel: “I have achieved six promotions and they are the best moments I have experienced”

MADRID, 10 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The coach of Girona, Míchel, trusted that his team will be able to bring out their “best version” this Saturday in the first leg of the final ‘playoff’ for promotion to LaLiga Santander, a tie that starts “from scratch” and is very even , although aware that in the regular season they lost both games against the Canaries.

“The team is doing very well, with tremendous enthusiasm and special motivation. Knowing that two teams have reached this final in the same way and everything is at 50%. We will bring out our best version. The game makes you have to start from zero, what you have done so far is worthless,” he said at a press conference.

The Catalan coach explained that he has tried to analyze those two defeats against Tenerife this season. “All aspects are very important, we have to refine details about the two games we’ve played against Tenerife this year. We have to analyze those two games well and look for solutions”, he pointed out.

“I know that we are going to be aggressive with the ball, that we are going to have a spectacular atmosphere and we are going to look for the rival goal. We are going to give 200%. I know that we are going to give the best version. normal. If we enjoy the game we will be very competitive”, he added.

Míchel confessed that the promotions in his career are the best moments and that the club and the team must be prepared to “make history” in their third consecutive final to return to the First Division. “We have to make history, I don’t know if this year is the right one, if not. We’re going to play in the final, that’s for sure, and we’re going with our idea to compete and do things well,” he said.

“I have achieved six promotions, four as a player and two as a coach, and they are the best moments I have experienced. I have scored important goals, I have played in Europe, but that game that being in the First Division gives you, being promoted, that is remembered for whole life, that’s why it’s making history,” he added.

On the other hand, the Girona coach assessed the possibility that Stuani, warned, miss the turn if he sees a yellow card. “There is nobody essential, he is an offensive player and there should be no problem. We want Stuani tomorrow and in the second leg, but nobody can leave anything behind. We’ll see how many soldiers are left for the final battle”, he commented.

“His virtues and ours have been seen throughout the season. I want my team to start from scratch, from work and humility. We are a team that generates values on a day-to-day basis. We have been remembering everything that we have I’ve done the whole season. The bad times, the confidence of the club, everything we’ve done to get here with the illusion of being able to move up and always return to the beginning of everything”, he concluded.
