Messi won the Ballon d’Or from Lewandowski by 33 points

Leo Messi has won his seventh Ballon d’Or on Monday. The Argentine forward of PSG has imposed himself on Robert Lewandowski for only 33 points. A minimal difference between the two strikers. The third to get on the podium was Jorginho. The Argentine attacker adds a new award to his collection thanks to the 613 points he has received for the 580 from the Bayern Munich striker and the 460 from the Chelsea midfielder. One step below the podium and Karim Benzema finished with 239 points. To find the Cristiano you have to go down to sixth place. Portuguese has added 178 points.

The Spanish have taken the last positions among the 30 nominees. Pedri, winner of the Kopa trophy, was the best Spaniard being 24th with 3 points. While Gerard Moreno, champion of the Europa League with Villarreal, added 0 points, the same score as César Azpilicueta, European champion with Chelsea

In the female category, Alexia Putellas has made history by winning the second Ballon d’Or for Spain. The Barcelona midfielder crowns a magnificent season with the Barça club and finishes off with a Ballon d’Or. The Spanish won with 186 points, a wide difference, by 84 of the also Spanish Jennifer Hermoso and the 46 of Chelsea’s Australia Samantha Kerr.
