Mess in Bayern for going to party in Ibiza after the last defeat

Dark clouds are approaching the Allianz Arena. One week after winning their tenth consecutive Bundesliga, Bayern Munich once again showed their worst side and fell thrashed 3-1 on their visit to Mainzranked tenth in the top German competition before receiving the champion. instead of criticizing after a season in which he was eliminated from the Pokal in the second phase against Gladbach (5-0) and in the Champions League quarterfinals at the hands of Villarreal, the Bayern players preferred to party in Ibiza.

This is what the German newspaper Bild reveals, which ensures that the majority of the squad did not take long to get on a private plane after the slap in the face of the defeat in Mainz to celebrate the title on the Balearic island. Only a few players, including Munich captain Manuel Neuer, stayed in the Bavarian capital. The rest will be partying in Ibiza until next Tuesday, the date for which Mr. Julian Nagelsmann summoned them to the sports city to prepare for the penultimate game of the season against Stuttgart next Sunday.

It is one more chapter in a season that is leaving a bitter taste among the fans of the six-time champion of Europe. Both the poor role played in the Pokal and the Champions League as well as the mess surrounding the increasingly possible departure of Lewy and doubts about Nagelsmann’s sports project have ended up putting more than one on the wire. Even the coach himself admitted before the carnage in Mainz that he is facing a ravine: “but I still have a railing to hold on to,” he stressed. Meanwhile, his players celebrate in Ibiza.

Matthaus: “I would take tougher measures”

The first reactions to the trip to Ibiza have not been long in coming and the first to pronounce has been Lothar Matthaus: “It’s absolutely unacceptable, especially after a match like this,” The Bayern legend has stated on Sky, where he added: “If they had won yesterday, I would say: stay in Ibiza for three days. If it were Nagelsmann, I would take tougher measures: rest days after such a match are cancelled.”.

Hasan Salihamidzic, director of deportivo del Bayern, The statements collected by the Munich newspaper TZ: “Last week, the players informed us that they wanted to spend the two days off from the group in Ibiza. We accept it as a ‘team building’ measure. Our team has set higher goals this season and he has given a lot of thought to his future path since elimination from the Champions League. We think that is positive. As a player, I have learned that strength can grow from defeat. This joint action of the team can be an important foundation. It is clear that our players will give their all against Stuttgart to offer the fans a beautiful end to the season with a victory as champions in their own stadium.”
