The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) announced this Thursday that Mérida will host the draw for the Iberdrola Women’s Super Cup on December 21, a tournament that will be held at the Romano José Fouto stadium between January 16 and 22 of next year, between FC Barcelona, Sporting de Huelva, Real Sociedad and Real Madrid.
The cloister of the Old Convent of Santa Clara will host the event in which the four participating teams will find out their pairings for the fourth edition -in ‘Final Four’ format- of the tournament. The act will begin at 12:00 p.m. and will be broadcast through the official channels of the federation, according to the RFEF in a statement.
The draw will be attended by the president of the Junta de Extremadura, Guillermo Fernández Vara; the sports counselor, Nuria Flores; the mayor of Mérida, Antonio Osuna; the president of the Extremaduran Football Federation, Pedro Rocha; the president of the CNFF, Rafael del Amo; among other authorities and representatives of the four contending clubs.
