Physical appearance: “It is a marvel, not only because of his physical ability, if it were only for that, he would not have held out in the Second Division. Before football he was in an athletics team.”

Route: “In a preseason game at Benito Villamarín he faced Joaquín, who could have been his father. But he dribbles, he scores, he leaves … He has a long journey.”

He stood out very young: “We were with the president of Las Palmas in Marbella in the preseason, we saw Pedri and I said 'look at him, there goes the millionaire, but he still doesn't know'”.
