Medvedev closes in on Djokovic and Bautista stalks the Top-10

The Miami Masters 1,000 leaves us with some notable changes in the ATP and WTA rankings, where Novak Djokovic and Ashleigh Barty remain as leaders one more week, in the case of the Serbian without having played and in the case of the Australian revalidating the title.

Djokovic remains leader of the classification with 11,963 points and already extends his record to 315 weeks at the top of the ranking. However, after the Miami tournament, the Serbian was approached by Daniil Medvedev, that despite falling in the quarterfinals against Bautista is already less than 2,000 points behind Djokovic after overcoming the 10,000-point barrier with 10,030. In this way Medvedev expands his advantage with Rafa Nadal, third with 9,670 and who, like Djokovic, did not play in Miami either.

The main change in the Top-10 this week stars it Alexander Zverev, who climbs to sixth place with 6,125 points to the detriment of Roger Federer, which falls to seventh with 5,875 after also giving up playing in Miami.

At the gates of this Top-10 is Roberto Bautista. The Castellón tennis player, who reached the semifinals in Miami, rises one position and is already eleventh in the classification with 3,090 points, and is 363 from the tenth position occupied by Matteo Berrettini. The other great increases of the week are starred by Hubert Hurkacz, who with his title in Miami climbs 21 positions and is already sixteenth with 2,600 points, and the Italian Jannik Sinner, who as a finalist in the tournament climbs eight positions to 23rd with 2,369 points .
