McNulty beats Healy in the sprint to win the fifteenth stage of the Giro in Bergamo

MADRID, 21 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The American cyclist Brandon McNulty (UAE Team Emirates) won the 15th stage of the Giro d’Italia in the sprint this Sunday, held between Seregno and Bergamo over 195 kilometres, ahead of the Irishman Ben Healy (EF Education-EasyPost) in a day of half- high mountains and which helped Frenchman Bruno Armirail (Groupama-FDJ) to retain the lead in the general classification.

Thus, McNulty crossed the finish line after 5h13’39” in a stage whose profile had four peaks. Only one of them, the initial one from Valico di Valcava, was first category; the other three peaks were second category as they passed through Selvino (classical slope), Miragolo San Salvatore and Valpiana (Roncola Alta), almost without respite.
