Mbappé will miss the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Bayern

MADRID, 2 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

French Paris Saint-Germain will not be able to count on striker Kylian Mbappé for the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 against German Bayern Munich due to the injury that occurred this Wednesday on the visit to Montpellier.

“Following medical examinations, Kylian Mbappé suffers an injury to his left thigh at the height of the biceps femoris. His duration of unavailability is estimated at three weeks,” the Parisian team reported Thursday.

The French footballer had to leave the field of play after 21 minutes of the game and with a noticeable limp that set off alarm bells within Christophe Galtier’s men, who will face Bayern in the first leg of this match in 12 days , on February 14, at the Parc des Princes in Paris, while the return at the Allianz Arena will be on March 8.
