“Mayte felt ignored and ignored”

Julián Muñoz died in the early hours of Tuesday at the age of 76 due to lung cancer, which had consumed him, especially in recent months. At six o’clock in the afternoon on September 24, his remains were cremated in the San Bernabé funeral home in Marbella, the city he plundered by leading one of the biggest corruption scandals in the history of Spain.

The sevillanas singer has referred to one of the latest decisions of the former councillor of Marbella, that of marrying again with Mayte Zaldívar: “Breaking up his family is something he has not forgiven himself for, so he wanted to leave saying, “Do me this favor. That’s what I believe.”.

Others think that the decision of the former mayor of Marbella was motivated by other interests: “Given that he has not returned that money, is it possible to think that he has it abroad and that he married Mayte to facilitate the recovery of that heritage?”, Susanna Griso asked this Tuesday in Public Mirror.

Muñoz and Zaldívar married again in January, when the family was already aware that Julián was on his last legs. They married despite her relationship with another man, Fernando Marcos, for two decades. Marcos is with the family in these painful moments and has also visited the former mayor in his most difficult moments in the hospital, where he has been admitted on repeated occasions in recent months and where he entered last Sunday, the 15th, and never came out alive.

Elia and Eloísa, Julián’s daughters, have also appeared devastated during these difficult times for them. The deceased’s grandson, Fran Redondo, also appears very affected after the unusual television journey he has experienced in recent weeks talking about the health of his late grandfather.

The Antena 3 programme also recalled one of the famous press conferences of the former mayor of Marbella with Zaldívar at his side, with a “face of circumstance” and when she, supposedly, was already aware of her husband’s cheating with Isabel Pantoja: “There was a lady sitting there who knew her husband was screwing her”said Maria del Monte.

And he added: “She felt ignored and ignored. She felt that she had to put her husband’s political position before what she was feeling or thinking.”.

The singer also explained: “I’m not going to go into the crimes because that was settled where it had to be settled, but Any woman must feel this pain in her soul. Hence her subsequent disappointment..
