Matallanas, new spokesperson for the Spanish Football Federation

Javier Gómez Matallanas (Madrid, 1971) is the new spokesperson for the Royal Spanish Football Federation, This was announced this Friday by the RFEF through a statement. In this way, the journalist from Madrid leaves AS, where he has worked as a journalist for the last three years, to become one of the trusted men of President Luis Rubiales.

Javier Gómez Matallanas, a journalist with a degree from the Complutense University of Madrid, has more than 25 years of experience, holding positions of responsibility in different Spanish media of prestige, such as Marca and Cadena Cope, and as a collaborator of El Confidencial, Sport, Onda Cero, Cadena Ser, Onda Madrid, Radio Marca, TVE and Mediaset.

In 2009 he was appointed Deputy Director of the newspaper AS, where he was also Director of AStv until the date that he developed his functions as a soccer correspondent.
