The Alicante referee Juan Martinez Munuera has been appointed by the Technical Committee of Referees to direct the Getafe-Real Betis of this Tuesday (9:30 p.m.), of the 4th day in La Santander League. He will be assisted in the VAR room by the Extremaduran Jesus Gil Manzano.
Martinez Munuera has directed 16 games to Betis, with a balance of 4 wins, 6 draws and 6 losses for the Betis. Last season, under arbitration by Martínez Munuera, Betis won 1-2 in Mallorca – their only away victory of the season – they drew 1-1 at Ipurua with Eibar and beat Espanyol 1-0 at Villamarín.
Martinez Munuera already refereed a Betis-Getafe (1-2) in March 2019, a match remembered for the strong anger from the stands to Quique Setién -then a Verdiblanco coach-, as it was played after Betis fell eliminated in the semifinal of Cup against Valencia and in the Europa League against Rennes.
With Martínez Munuera, Getafe has 5 victories, 3 draws and 7 defeats. Last season he was whistled by Real Madrid-Getafe (1-0) and Getafe-Leganés (2-0).
