MADRID, 17 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Spanish athlete Martín Fiz won this Sunday in the Copenhagen half marathon in the Master 60 category, a result that allows him to add his second victory in his challenge to conquer the five ‘SuperHalfs’, a circuit of half marathons.
The Vitorian, world marathon champion in 1995, used a time of 1:15:20 to achieve victory on a demanding circuit in the Danish capital ahead of the Austrian Alois Radlmayr and the Dane Peter Rosendal.
This victory is the second after the one signed in March in the Lisbon half marathon. In 15 days, Fiz will race in Cardiff in search of third, to later seek victory, in 2024, in Prague and Valencia.
Fiz also has in his record, in addition to the 1995 World Cup, the 1994 European marathon title, two Olympic diplomas and triumph in the ‘six majors’ (London, New York, Tokyo, Boston, Berlin and Chicago) of his category.
