In this 34th edition of the contest, at 25 years old, De la Puente added the eighth win to his record, after those won in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023. In addition, this course has already won in Munich (Germany ), Royan (France), Geneva (Switzerland) and Sardinia (Italy); During the summer he even became the first Spaniard to reach the individual final of a ‘Grand Slam’, specifically Wimbledon.
He also extended his hegemony in the ONAT Foundation Open National Master, winning it for the sixth time in a row. In doubles, De la Puente recently won his second NEC Wheelchair Singles Masters in Arnhem (Netherlands) alongside Belgian Joachim Gerard. However, 2024 is marked by the first Paralympic bronze in the history of Spanish chair tennis, won precisely together with Caverzaschi.
