Martín de la Puente qualifies for the semifinals of the Chair Tennis Masters

MADRID, 2 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish tennis player Martín de la Puente qualified this Thursday for the semifinals of the individual draw of the Wheelchair Tennis Masters that is being held at the facilities of the Emilio Sánchez Academy in Barcelona.

The player from Vigo, number four in the world ranking, surpassed the round robin after winning two of his three matches and will now seek a historic final against the Englishman Alfie Hewitt, number two in the world and who came first in Group B.

De la Puente began his career in the event with a hard-fought victory against the Belgian Joachim Gerard, against whom he came back to win in three sets 4-6, 6-2, 6-2, while he lost the second against the number one, the Japanese Tokito Oda, 6-3, 6-1.
