On this occasion, De la Puente fought Peifer, but suffered a lot with his service, with which he managed to grant up to 18 break options to the Frenchman, who was not fine with his serve either. In total, 14 breaks were recorded, eight in favor of the winner, two of them key to winning each of the sleeves.

In this way, the Galician player is left with a 0-2 balance in his group of the ’round robin’ of the Masters and must win yes or yes to the British Gordon Reid, and with the largest possible score, to have options to be among the semifinalists.

In addition, in his debut in the doubles competition, where he will compete with Argentine Gustavo Fernández due to Daniel Caverzaschi’s injury, the Spanish tennis player was also unlucky, who again ran into Peifer who, together with Stephane Houdet, took the victory 6-2, 6-1.
