Martín Cáceres plays more than anyone

The Uruguayan defender Levante, Martin Cacereshas already accumulated 522 minutes in the League since his arrival in Valencia in the winter market and has already played more than five other teammates who have been in the team since August.

Cáceres signed for Levante on January 30 until the end of this season and made his debut just a couple of days after his arrival in Spain in Getafe on February 4 in a 3-0 loss to his team.

That was the only time that Cáceres was a substitute, since in the following game against Betis he entered the starting lineup and has repeated in Alessio Lisci’s eleven in the last five games of the Levante League.

In just over two months in Spain, the Uruguayan defender has played more than Postigo, Cantero, Vukcevic and Coke, all of them in the team since last summer, and the youth squad Marc Pubill, who was promoted from the reserve team in December 2021.

Apart from the minutes played, Cáceres has given Levante experience and defensive solidity, as Lisci’s team has improved notably in this area in recent weeks.

In the event that Levante, which is six points from permanence, manages to avoid relegation, Cáceres has one more year of contract with the Valencian club.
