Spanish athletes Maribel Pérez and Jaël Besué have advanced this Sunday to the semifinals of the 60 -meter smooth test in the European Athletics Championship, which is being played in Apeldoorn (Netherlands) and who lives its penultimate competition day.
In a round in which the first four of each series plus the four best times, the Sevillian Maribel Pérez, champion and national plusmarquista, played the third of the five series and ended in second place with a mark of 7.17 – best brand best of the season, only surpassed by its national stop (7.15) – behind the Hungarian Boglárka Tackács (7.15).
For its part, the Catalan, five times Gold in the Spanish Championship of 200, also achieved the direct pass at the end of Fourth (7.25) in a series that dominated the Polish Ewa Swoboda (7.14). Since 1985, Spain did not have two athletes in the semifinals of the 60 meters smooth.
