Mariano García, gold in the final of 800 meters of the European

MADRID, 21 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish athlete Mariano García was proclaimed champion of Europe in the 800 meters this Sunday by winning the final of the continental event that is taking place at the Munich Olympics.

The Murcian, who this year was proclaimed indoor world champion, came out with everything in the European final and gave an exhibition to win the gold, making his personal best (1:44.85). The podium was completed by the Englishman Jake Wightman and the Irishman Mark English.
