María Pérez, Álvaro Martín, Míchel or Anastasia Dmitryv, awarded at the Sport Values ​​of Sports Gala

The athletes María Pérez and Álvaro Martín, the coach Miguel Ángel Sánchez, ‘Michel’, the swimmer Anastasia Dmitryv and the soccer player Dani Olmo were some of those awarded this Tuesday in the VI edition of the Sports Values ​​Gala, organized by the newspaper ‘ Sport’ and that recognized athletes, clubs and entities that with their work “have contributed to promoting values ​​such as effort, the capacity for suffering, solidarity, discipline or the ability to overcome.”

María Pérez and Álvaro Martín, who were proclaimed world champions of the 20 and 35 kilometer walk at the World Cup in Budapest this past summer, were awarded the ‘Extraordinary Values’ Award.

In addition, the Spanish rhythmic gymnastics team won the ‘Team Values’ Award, the sailor Gisela Pulido the ‘Values ​​Improvement’ award and the young swimmer with physical disability Anastasia Dimytriv the ‘Values ​​Resilience’ award. The Spanish footballer Dani Olmo, from RB Leipzig, was awarded the ‘Solidarity Values’ Award, while the ‘Values’ Award went to Míchel, coach of Girona FC, and the ‘Training Values’ Award went to La Masía of FC Barcelona.

The gala also wanted to recognize the youngest talent in the figures of the artistic swimmer Iris Tió and Geila Macià, runner-up in the youth world of Climbing, with the ‘Projection Values’ and ‘Revelation Values’ awards, respectively.

Finally, Lidia Valentín, triple Olympic medalist, will be recognized with the ‘Legend Values’ Award, Demetrio Carceller, organizer of the World Padel Tour, with the ‘Management Talent’ award, and Paloma del Río and Christian García i Montagut with the ‘Values’ award. of Journalism’.

The event, held at the headquarters of the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE), was attended, among others, by the president of this organization, Alejandro Blanco, and the general director of Sports of the Community of Madrid, Alberto Tomé.
