Marcus Peters’ potential landing locations after the Raiders release include the Dolphins and 49ers. The former All-Pro CB

After joining the Raiders in July, Peters appeared in all 12 of the team’s games as a starter. During his tenure in Las Vegas, Peters also recorded 43 tackles and five passes defensed.

In Week 8, he recorded a pick-six against Lions quarterback Jared Goff, his only interception during his time as a Raider.

During the initial five seasons on the league (2015–19), the 30-year-old Peters was among the top cornerbacks in the game. Peters was a two-time All-Pro and three-time Pro Bowl player during that time.

In terms of interceptions (eight) or interception return yards (280), he led the NFL in his rookie season. In both 2017 and 2019, Peters once again topped the NFL in yardage from interceptions returned.

After being moved to Los Angeles by the Chiefs in 2018, Peters, who was formerly a Chief, assisted the Rams in winning the Super Bowl.

After being moved to Baltimore throughout the season, he was instrumental in the Ravens’ ascent to the top of the AFC East. Undoubtedly, he hopes to leave a similar impression in his next destination.

Hill believes he can surpass the 1,964 receiving yards record set in 2012 by Hall of Famer and former Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson in just 17 games if he manages to fulfill his goal.

With 119 receptions and 1,710 receiving yards in the previous season, Hill recorded career highs while catching passes by quarterbacks Teddy Bridgewater, Skylar Thompson, and Tua Tagovailoa.

The Dolphins have now surpassed both Jarvis Landry’s 2017 catch total and Mark Clayton’s 1984 receiving yardage total with those two single-season records.

With Tagovailoa as the “most accurate quarterback” and play-calling by head coach Mike McDaniel, the seven-time Pro Bowl receiver thinks surpassing the NFL record is feasible heading into 2023.

“For me, not becoming injured, coming in every single day wanting to become better, wanting to be taught And I feel like I’ve got the correct equipment around me,” Hill stated.

“I have one of the top head coaches in the NFL, the most precise quarterback in the league, and a monster of a position coach.

During the last required minicamp practice for Miami, Hill stated that he hopes to have at least 2,000 receiving yards this year.

Thus, I only need to focus on all three of these things and maintain my daily goals of improving myself and breaking the record—which I really do want to do. Therefore, I believe that this is the year that I may succeed.”

It looks like Hill will need to play in all 17 games and hope that Tagovailoa can stay on the field in order to reach Johnson’s receiving yards record.

Entering his fourth season in the NFL, Tagovailoa has not played a complete season due to two concussions that stopped his 2022 campaign early.

Miami chose to exercise the quarterback’s fifth-year option in March. Tagovailoa has been working hard to stay injury-free this offseason, studying jiu-jitsu moves to enhance his fall avoidance skills.
