MADRID, 17 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
American shooting guard Marcus Paige, 29 years old and 1.83 meters tall, signed this Sunday for Monbus Obradoiro, an agreement for next season, according to the club.
Paige comes from the French Orleans, where he comes from averaging 9.9 points (51.6 percent in shots from two, 42.3% in triples and 86% in free), 3.4 assists, 1.1 recoveries and 1, 4 losses in 30 minutes (27 games).
Previously, the American spent three seasons at Partizan Belgrade, where he competed in the Adriatic League and the Eurocup, after debuting in professional basketball in the United States (two seasons in the G League).
The shooting guard had been chosen in position 55 in the 2016 NBA draft, after completing a magnificent career at the University of North Carolina (ACC’2016 Ideal Team).
“With Marcus we incorporate a generator of play on the perimeter, with European experience and capable of operating in several positions. He distributes his game well between scoring, with threat from the shot, and creation in the ‘pick and roll’, which plays with skill,” said the club’s general manager, José Luis Mateo.
