The Royal Spanish Federation of Ice Sports (RFEDH) announced this Wednesday that the skater Marco Zandron received the approval of his Spanish nationality, with which he will be able to compete in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games.
“Marco Zandron has received approval for his Spanish nationality to be able to participate in the 2022 Beijing Olympic Games with Laura Barquero,” the Federation wrote on its official Twitter account.
Zandron, born in Italy, will thus be able to make history for Spanish ice skating together with Barquero, since they will be the first national pair in a Games in this modality.
