The Spanish MotoGP rider Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda) faces the Catalan Grand Prix, twelfth round on the calendar, with the aim of “collecting good data” for the project of the Japanese brand, on a circuit that “is always special”, with the stands “full of people”.
“There is work to be done and we must maintain the objective that we have had in recent weekends, in Austria we saw that this way of working allowed us to overcome the Grand Prix and collect good data for the project,” said the Spaniard in statements shared by Sling.
The man from Cervera looks forward to the race in Barcelona, which “is always special”, thanks to the public that makes the stands always “full of people”. “Being the home race, I love seeing all the fans there,” he stressed.
Despite the tough year he is having, the Catalan is confident of being the protagonist in a circuit that he knows wonderfully. “The goal is to put on a great show for everyone present and make them have an enjoyable and memorable weekend,” he explained.
For his part, his teammate, Joan Mir, is “looking forward” to the weekend in Montmeló to experience the “home” Grand Prix, to “get a good result in front of the local fans” and “continue working “.
In Austria, the Spaniard had a good GP “in general”, although he did not finish “in the best way” as he was unable to finish the race. “I am confident that we can have another Grand Prix in which we fight to be the best Honda,” concluded Mir.
