MADRID, 4 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Spanish MotoGP rider Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda) explained the need to resume the World Championship looking for a “good base” to “regain confidence”, with which he pointed out that this weekend at the British Grand Prix he will risk but ” no more than necessary”, taking into account that it is not “100%”.
“I’m not rolling at 100%. My right abductor hurts a bit and that pain goes up to the pubic area. It started bothering me a few weeks ago and I think it all comes from bad gestures because of the ankle problem,” he said in statements provided by his team after being thirteenth this Friday.
The man from Cervera explained his new approach for the second leg of the season, which began at Silverstone with the launch of the new Practice, a session valid on Friday after the first free practice. “Now I have the motivation to find a good base. If you don’t have a solid base you can’t build a good future and that was the objective today. To ride smoothly, to regain confidence and not to have any scares,” he said.
“Because of the injuries it has been easy to see that there are things that I was not doing well and I have tried to change the approach. Obviously, there are points of the weekend in which I will risk, but not more than necessary”, he added.
The Repsol Honda man insisted on his idea of working with his team for a better future. “We have a very good relationship with Honda and we are always trying to do what is best for the project, right now it is to have that good base to build together,” he concluded.
