MADRID, 24 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Spanish MotoGP rider Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda) acknowledged that he plans to “raise the risk” in the Valencia Grand Prix, the closing of the season and his farewell with Honda, as he did this Friday to be seventh in free practice.
“Today I went out alone because I felt strong and I didn’t need to have a reference. It’s my last one with Honda and I decided to increase the risk, I wanted to show my pace from the first session,” he said in statements provided by his team.
The one from Cervera confessed that the bike will finish the World Championship in the same “critical” situation but he hoped to be able to fight for a good farewell, both the goodbye to Honda after 10 years and the closing of a complicated Championship but at home. “Qualy will decide my position in the race, tomorrow will be crucial because it is very difficult to overtake here. I will give my 100%,” he stated.
“If tomorrow the race were in the first session, I would see a Top 5 possible, even the podium. But tomorrow everyone will push and increase the pace. My goal is not the podium, but I am trying to increase the intensity, although the motorcycle,” he concluded.
