Marc Hirschi wins in the Valencian Community Classic

MADRID 26 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Swiss cyclist Marc Hirschi (Tudor Pro Cycling Team) won this Sunday the 41st edition of the Clàssica Comunitat Valenciana 1969, surpassing the Italian Christian Scaroni (XDS Asatana) in the sprint.

Three cyclists formed the breakaway of the day: Baptiste Veistroffer (Lotto), Mads Pedersen (LidlTrek) and Maximilien Juillard (Van Rysel-Roubaix), achieving an advantage of around three minutes.

Shortly before the start of the Coll de Rates, the breakaway was neutralized and the climb broke the peloton, before the highlight of the final kilometers. As expected, the arrival of Turrón Duro-La Nucia made everyone suffer, with Hirschi, Scaroni and Jan Christen (UAE Team Emirates) being the survivors. The final sprint in the streets of the La Nucia Sports City went to Hirschi.
