Marathon of matches for Valencia: Champions, Europa League and Third rivals

Valencia faces atypical weeks this season. If usually, with Valencia in Europe, the team was used to playing Wednesday-Sunday, this is not the case of the current season. Javi Gracia has been preparing the week with a match and now they arrive several weeks in which the script will have to be changed. The coach should give the players minutes and squeeze a squad that is already short and is punished by injuries (Guillamón and Gayà, already in the last phase of recovery) and cases of coronavirus (Kang-in Lee). It will be four weeks in a row (if he qualifies for the second round of the Cup) playing during the week, the first, this Wednesday, at 7:00 p.m., against Terrassa FC, of the Third Division.

The calendar is tightening and a lot for Valencia. After the cupbearer's engagement, a large square arrives. The black and white will travel to Catalonia again to face Barça, next Saturday, at 16:15. Next, On Tuesday 22, at 5:30 p.m., another Champions, Sevilla, will visit Mestalla, with the rivalry that this entails. Afterwards, there will be a mini break for Christmas and it will not be played on the weekend but immediately, on Wednesday 30, at 5:00 p.m., Valencia will visit the Nuevo Los Cármenes, to face another European rival, the Granada. On the following day, the calendar gives him a break since he will not play until on Monday, January 4, against Cádiz, in Mestalla, before one of the best visitors of LaLiga. Also, if he wins this week at Terrassa, the second Cup tie is scheduled for that week. Valencia would probably play on January 7. And the marathon of matches would end, for the moment, for Valencia on Sunday 10, still at a time to be defined, against Valladolid.

The carousel of matches will force Javi Gracia to do numerous rotations. These will begin this Wednesday, at the Olímpic de Terrassa, where footballers like Sobrino, Mangala, Jason, Álex Blanco or Esquerdo himself, footballers with the fewest minutes played to date, could have opportunities to prove their worth.
