Mapi León: “We always believe until the end and we are going to give everything against Denmark”

MADRID, 12 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish international Mapi León has assured that the team believes “until the end” and that they will try to “give everything” to qualify for the quarterfinals of the European Championship, and has assured that Germany’s first goal on Tuesday has made them go ” in tow”, in addition to warning that the “two mistakes” of the many Germans “cannot be committed”.

“We fit in because of a mistake, that already makes things difficult for you at the start, you’re a little behind. We knew what we had to play and so did they. I don’t think we played a bad game, we just made two mistakes that can’t be made, and that has penalized us,” he told RTVE.

However, the Zaragoza defense believes that the team will recover to play the pass to the quarterfinals on Saturday against Denmark. “If something characterizes this team, it is the soul it has, the passion. We always believe until the end and we are going to give it our all until the end. As much as things go against us, we have to keep working”, he stressed.

“Obviously, when you lose you don’t have a good feeling. We have a third game, we have to work even harder, try not to make these mistakes. We’ve created chances, we’ve had stretches in their field, we just haven’t put them in. They’ve scored two and that’s it,” he concluded.
