Manu Apeh, first reinforcement of Tenerife

Emmanuel Apeh (Nigeria, 1996) has become Tenerife's first addition to the 2020/21 season. The forward striker came from Celta B and has been engaged for the next three seasons. “I aspire to grow personally and professionally“Said the attacker on the official website of the club.

The striker, with a Spanish passport, is 23 years old and arrived in Vigo in 2018 after serving two campaigns in Lorca. With the Murcian team, he even made Tenerife his first professional goal in the draw 2-2 October 2017. Last season he scored 12 goals in 25 games played. He started the campaign with great force and little by little he was losing success, but his numbers are not entirely bad.

Apeh highlighted on the official website of Tenerife “I really want to travel to the Island and start the preseason with my new colleagues” The footballer wanted to thank the “good words I have received from the fans, and I am convinced to return that confidence from the first moment,” he said.

Tenerife described it as a “young striker who acts as an offensive benchmark on the attack line, with good ability to define the head and look for spaces between the rival defense. Tenerife takes the opportunity to welcome ”.

Although numerous African footballers played in Tenerife throughout its history, Manu Apeh will be the first Nigerian to wear the Tenerife shirt. It is worth noting that in the 2010/11 campaign midfielder Alozie Okechukwu passed through the entity, but did not debut with the first team.

In this way, Fran Fernández already knows his first incorporation who will come to fight for a position in the attack where Joselu, Jorge Padilla and José Naranjo are waiting to compete. Juan Carlos Cordero, however, continues to think about reinforcing the Blue and Whites' lead with at least one more player and making the difference.
