Mandatory PCR to return after Christmas

This Monday many of the teams from First and Second Division after the feast days of Christmas and thinking about the league competition that takes place next weekend. In the case of the First Division, up to seven games are scheduled between January 31 and Sunday 2. In the Second division a total of ten of the eleven games are scheduled for that date.

All this explains why many of the teams have set this December 27 as the day of their return to activity. And with this return, the new protocol comes into operation COVID from League approved last Wednesday, December 22.

Protocol that establishes the obligation of having to pass all teams (players, coaches, technical staff, etc.) a PCR required before returning to the activity. The same will happen when players return from their national team commitments when three or more days of rest are granted by the club.

An additional antigen test pending PCR result

Furthermore, the same protocol includes the possibility of carrying out an additional antigen test. In case this antigen test is negative, the team will be able to return to training but without being able to use the changing rooms or closed spaces. Once the club has the results of the PCR, and in case of being negative, it is when they will be able to use the changing room always with a maximum capacity and a limited time.

This control of PCR, and that of additional antigens, must be passed by both the coaching staff, players (both from the first team and the subsidiary who will be in the training dynamic), as well as all personnel who will have contact with the first team. Whether or not they have the complete vaccination schedule or are immunized.

The realization of these PCR as its cost is managed directly by the League, providing a maximum of 60 PCR tests to each team. For a total of 2520 tests
