MADRID, 1 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Manchester United defeated Nottingham Forest (2-0) this Wednesday to complete their pass to the final of the Carabao Cup, the English League Cup, with a 5-0 aggregate, where they will face Newcastle for the title United on February 26 at Wembley.
Ten Hag’s team came with the 0-3 that they took from the City Ground last week and, although with suspense, they also signed up for the second leg of the semifinals at Old Trafford. Martial and Fred, in the last 20 minutes, scored the many ‘red devils’.
United thus has the first title within reach this season, in a final in London that will measure Newcastle, winner of their ‘semi’ against Southampton on Tuesday. The Manchester team has not won a title since the 2017 Europa League.
