Manchester United has undertaken expert investigations following a cyber attack on the club's systems and is working with the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) to assess the damage, according to the EFE agency.
The Premier League team said last week it had suffered a cyberattack and had shut down affected systems to protect data, although the club's channels, including the website and mobile app, were not affected.
“The NCSC is aware of an incident affecting Manchester United Football Club and we are working with the organization and partners to understand the impact,” said a spokesman for the security agency, according to comments collected by British media.
“Following the recent cyber attack on the club, our IT team and external experts have secured our networks and conducted expert investigations,” United said in a statement.
“This attack was disruptive in nature, but we are not aware that fan data has been compromised. The critical systems required for the matches at Old Trafford have been kept secure and the matches have proceeded normally.
