Manchester City signs Julián Álvarez and leaves him on loan at River Plate “at least” until this summer

MADRID, 31 One. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The English Manchester City confirmed this Monday the signing of the young Argentine striker Julián Álvarez for the next five and a half seasons, although, for now, he will leave him on loan at his current club, River Plate, “at least until July 2022”.

The attacker, already international for Argentina, is a player that the current Premier League champion has been “studying for some time”, as stated by his sports director, the Spanish ‘Txiki’ Begiristain.

“He is capable of taking on different roles in attack and we firmly believe that he is one of the best young attackers in South America. I am very happy that we have managed to bring him to Manchester City and I really believe that we can provide him with the right conditions so that he can develop his potential and become a top-level player,” he added.

Álvarez, who made his debut with the ‘millionaire’ team in October 2018, is considered one of the best strikers in his country and has already accumulated 36 goals and 25 assists in 96 appearances with his current club.
