Manchester City comes back at Goodison Park and pushes higher in the Premier

'Citizen' triumph 1-3 in their visit to Everton

Wolverhampton beat Brentford and Chelsea win against Crystal Palace

MADRID, 27 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Manchester City won 1-3 on their visit to Everton, with a comeback included, in a match corresponding to matchday 19 of the Premier League, which this Wednesday also saw the win by Wolverhampton Wanderers at Brentford's home (1-4) and Chelsea's victory against Crystal Palace (2-1).

At Goodison Park, the 'citizens' resolved a commitment that at times had become too complicated for them. Very close to reaching half an hour, Dwight McNeil took advantage of a mistake in defense by Rodri Hernández and assisted Jack Harrison inside the area, so that he scored low and from close range to make it 1-0.

However, Phil Foden equalized in the 53rd minute with a strong left-footed shot from outside the area that entered next to a goal post defended by Jordan Pickford. The team coached by Pep Guardiola completed its comeback in the 64th minute, thanks to a penalty converted by Julián Álvarez.

After a mistake by Pickford when making a long clearance, Bernardo Silva scored 1-3 in the 86th minute with a high shot from a corner of the area. This victory placed Manchester City with 37 points, still having to play a league match. For its part, Everton was on the verge of relegation with 16 points, carrying a sanction.

Only two more points (18) are Crystal Palace, who lost at Stamford Bridge after conceding a penalty from Noni Madueke in the final minutes. Earlier, Mykhailo Mudryk had put Chelsea ahead and Michael Olise had scored the visitors' goal. Now the 'blues' have 25 points, the same number as Wolverhampton after beating a Brentford in danger.
