Malaga will have more than five weeks of preseason

José Alberto is already outlining what will be the set-up of his Malaga with a view to the start of next season. LaLiga raised several weeks ago the weekend of August 14 and 15 as the date for the start of the championship in the First and Second Division. The dates are not official yet, but if the proposal made by the clubs is confirmed, the blue and white team will have more than five weeks to prepare.

During his presentation, the new Malaguista coach announced that the start of the preseason already has a date. “On July 7, physical and medical tests. Training will begin on the 8th. We plan to do a ‘stage’, but it is not confirmed yet”, Explained the Asturian. It will take almost 40 days to get the team ready.

The stay is planned to be on the Costa del Sol. The option of repeating in Alhaurín el Grande is on the table, although other possibilities such as working in Marbella are not ruled out.. In the coming days, all the details of what will be the launch of a new football course should be outlined.

José Alberto will have five and a half weeks to prepare Malaga and mold the team to his football proposal. But from the outset he will not be able to do it with the final template. Manolo Gaspar predicts a long summer in terms of signings. “The market is very stopped and it will be long for Malaga and most of them,” he explained on Friday. José Alberto assumes it calmly: “The most important thing is not to have a good team on day 1, but to have it when the market closes. There you have to be calm. It seems that everything is going pretty quiet. We know what preferences we have, Manolo has the line of what we want and, from there, peace of mind. We have a good base to be able to improve the team ”.

The coaching staff is already fully defined

José Alberto López has already fully closed his coaching staff at the head of Málaga. Together with him, ex-footballer Pablo Álvarez disembarks at La Rosaleda as assistant coach and Pedro García as assistant coach. “The rest of the auxiliaries are people from here. Enrique Ruiz will be the physical trainer, Julio Rodríguez will be helping him. Capa, as analyst, Dani Lima as goalkeeping coach… We have already met with everyone and we are going to form a fantastic team. They are very Malaguistas and people with an important capacity for work. We fit in well from the first moment ”, explained the coach from Oviedo. The countdown to the start of the 2021-22 project is already underway.
