Malaga will allocate one euro per ticket sold to help Ukraine

Malaga joins all the initiatives that are taking place at a national and international level in support of Ukraine. On this occasion the club, through its Foundation, will go hand in hand with the Ukrainian association Maydan, which operates on the Costa del Sol to collaborate as much as possible with the tragedy that this country is experiencing after being invaded by Russia .

Lucas Rodríguez, coordinator of the Foundation explained some of the actions that are going to be carried out. “From Malaga and its Foundation we want to show our rejection of what is happening to the Ukrainian people, we suffer sorrow for the suffering of thousands and thousands of people. I would like to highlight the solidarity of the people of Malaga, who are reaching out in many ways. Malaga also shines for its solidarity. Right now they are loading a truck in Marbella and Fuengirola. Thank the people of Malaga and Malaguistas for showing their support and denouncing what is happening. It’s a massacre, it’s horrible. At first we cried and as the days went by we have become stronger to see what we can do. In Spain there are 100,000 Ukrainians and each one has four or five friends. We want this to spread”.

Needs that shake

Maryana continues, “Our needs and requests change, yesterday they asked us for body bags and it was a very tough request because if before they asked us for medicines, adding numbers in a shopping cart for that item is very hard. But we understand that we have to manage that part. We also ask for support for the trucks, we need them to arrive. When we receive the proposals, we evaluate them. If there are fuel companies that want to contribute their help, we would also appreciate it. We’re asking for tourniquets and medicine for the bleeding. They are the basic needs today, the one that remains fixed is transportation.”
