Malaga stagnates

Málaga does not finish redirecting the good course on which it traveled in the first part of the season. Since the beginning of 2021, the blue and white team has only been able to achieve one victory, in Alcorcón (0-1). In Gijón the sensations improved and the team trained by Sergio Pellicer was more competitive than in previous matches. Even so, Málaga fell back into the errors that have been condemning them in recent days: defensive fragility and many problems to see goal.

The defensive level of the Martiricos team improved against Sporting, but the rear was excessively soft in the action of Djuka's goal that ended up deciding the match. Improving in defense is the main slogan that Sergio Pellicer emphasizes. The Blue and Whites were the team with the fewest goals in Segunda last season and in the current one its benefits behind are in question.

Málaga has conceded 32 goals in 25 games. Only Cartagena (35) has conceded more than La Rosaleda. In attack the numbers are also quite discreet. Six goals for in the last nine games that have earned him a total of 6 points out of 27. This downline has made income over the decline, which after matchday 16 was ten points (Málaga was in seventh position then), decreased to six points. The mattress is still important, but the team must react as soon as possible to ward off ghosts.

Upset with arbitrations

Sergio Pellicer bit his tongue after the defeat at El Molinón. “On the subject of arbitration more than saying what you think you have to think what you sayYou know why ”, explained the coach at the end of the meeting. The referee withdrew after following the recommendation of the VAR of a penalty that he had indicated in favor of Malaga. In addition, he did not extend a second to the five minutes that he decided to discount despite the fact that at least two minutes were lost during the extension. That caused the indignation of the Malaguistas and their coach. It has been 35 days that they have not awarded a penalty in favor of the Costa del Sol, who have felt harmed this season with some arbitration decisions.
