Malaga rushes the market

The transfer market is being complicated and slow for most teams in general and Malaga in particular. Manolo Gaspar, Malaguista sports director, is working on various scenarios to complete the squad. A minimum of four players have yet to be incorporated; a goalkeeper, a center-back, a reference striker and another wing player.

Malaga needs to stretch its salary limit to be able to expand its range of incorporations. In the short term, it requires the approval of the 8'6 million euros, the credit line that the 14th Court of the city has authorized the judicial administrator, José María Muñoz. Currently, the salary limit is 3.2 million euros.

Gaspar makes up for the lack of money with work, ingenuity and patience. Above all patience. Because the Malaguista manager will rush the market as much as possible while waiting for players who do not enter into the plans of their respective teams.

At the moment, the clearest open front is that of Dani Martín. Málaga and Betis hold negotiations for this goalkeeper, who welcomes being put under the orders of José Alberto, whom he had as a coach at Sporting. At the moment there are differences between what Málaga offers and what both Betis and the player want. It is expected that a point of agreement can be reached in the next few days.

Another pending issue is that of Yanis Rahnami. His situation in Almería is unclear although he is having a few minutes this preseason. The Franco-Algerian was one of the priorities for Manolo Gaspar, but his day-to-day has taken a lot of lurch. It is time to wait for Rubi to consider that she can enter, or not, in her plans. It will be a matter of waiting until the last minute. The problem for Málaga is that more than half the Second Division wants this player. So far, the Malaguista signings are Javi Jiménez, Paulino, Ismael Gutiérrez and Brandon. Malaga has not received offers for any of its players and does not expect to part with any … but it will hear proposals that are interesting.

More trouble for Al Thani

On the other hand, and as reported by Diario Sur, Abdullah Al Thani has suffered a new embargo. This time it was the endorsement that the sheikh put up for the La Bajadilla port project in Marbella. There are 3.4 million euros that the Court of Instruction Number 14 of Malaga has agreed. Another embargo that is added to that of their homes and three of their vehicles.

Return of Larrubia and Julio

In a different vein, youngsters David Larrubia and Julio Martínez have returned to training after missing Saturday's game against Sevilla Atlético due to discomfort. Haitam continues to work on the sidelines. Ismael Casas, Ramón and Murillo continue with their quarantine.
