Málaga, Cádiz, Las Palmas, Gijón and Bilbao will host the 2021-22 season of LaLiga Genuine Santander

MADRID, 30 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The cities of Malaga, Cádiz, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Gijón and Bilbao will host the three phases of the fourth season of LaLiga Genuine Santander, which will bring together more than 1,000 players and staff from the 42 participating teams in 189 games.

The first phase will be divided into two different venues. The first, on January 28, 29 and 30, where the Málaga CF Foundation will host half of the participating teams at La Rosaleda, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the blue and white stadium; the second venue, on February 25, 26 and 27, will have Cádiz CF as the host club and will host the remaining teams at the Ciudad Deportiva Bahía de Cádiz.

The hosts of the second phase will be UD Las Palmas, on April 1, 2 and 3 at the Barranco Seco Sports City; and Real Sporting de Gijón, on April 22, 23 and 24 at the Ciudad Deportiva de Mareo, also with half of the Genuine teams distributed in each of the venues.

The finishing touch of the competition will come from the hand of Athletic Club Fundazioa as host on June 3, 4 and 5. The Lezama Sports City will witness the great closing phase of the 2021-22 season of LaLiga Genuine Santander, where all the participating teams will meet and the Sports and Fair Play trophies will be given.

After a spectacular closing of the 2019/20 season in Tarragona a few weeks ago, the competition organized by LaLiga, through its Foundation, consisting of a football league made up of teams of people with intellectual disabilities, will face its fourth edition with a total of 42 participating teams, after the recent incorporation of Fundació Barça, SD Ponferradina, CF Fuenlabrada, Burgos CF, FC Cartagena and UD Ibiza.

For its part, Banco Santander will continue to support this socially responsible project as ‘title sponsor’ of the competition this new season. In addition, LaLiga Genuine Santander will once again have the involvement of its associated brands, who will contribute great added value to this football and values ​​competition.
