Málaga CF has established contacts with Real Betis and the agents of the Asturian goalkeeper Dani Martín to try to secure his loan for next season, although there are several clubs that have been interested in the services of the international U21 goalkeeper, that last season he passed it blank because of two injuries – one to the ankle and the other to the knee – that required surgery.
José Alberto López, current Málaga coach, knows Dani Martín well from their stage at the Sporting de Gijón subsidiary, and is the main supporter of his signing, although apart from Málaga other clubs such as Real Zaragoza and UD Almería They are also interested in taking over their services, without so far neither the goalkeeper -who is in Bad Ragaz doing the preseason stage- nor the Verdiblanco club have made a determination about their future, that the next campaign seems clear that it will be away from Benito Villamarín.
Real Betis has four goalkeepers on its payroll for the next 2021/22 season: Claudio Bravo and Joel Robles -with one year remaining on their contract-, the recently signed Rui Silva -who signed for five seasons, until 2026- and Dani Martín, who has three years remaining on his contract, until 2024, and there is the intention of transferring to another club in which he can enjoy minutes.
