Madrid’s winter transfers

Lucas Silva (2015-2019)

Brazilian midfielder, Lucas Silva signed for Real Madrid in the 2015 winter market, when Carlo Ancelotti was the white team’s coach in his first stage on the white bench. Madrid was short of troops in midfield and paid Cruzeiro 15 million euros for his transfer. Then, Lucas had been named the best midfielder in the Brazilian championship. However, the midfielder had no luck at Madrid and barely played for the white team: eight league games and one Champions League game is his record at Real Madrid, before playing on loan at Marseille and Cruzeiro, without luck. Later, and not being able to train in Valdebebas due to a bureaucratic problem, he broke his relationship with the white team in 2019 and returned to Brazil, to the ranks of the Gremio.
