Madrid players join the #BlackOutTuesday

The world of sports is turning to fighting racism and in solidarity with the protests that are taking place in United States for the murder of the African American George Floyd in Minneapolis as a result of police brutality.

After signs of support from Jadon Sancho, Achraf and Thuram in the Bundesliga and the Liverpool and the Chelsea in England, various footballers of the Real Madrid They have participated through their social networks in the #BlackOutTuesday campaign, which is included in the movement Black Lives MatterAnd that simply consists of putting a black image to show solidarity with the African American community that is leading unprecedented protests throughout the United States.

Players like Vinicius, Thibauth Courtois, Bale, Mariano, Lucas Vázquez or Marcelo and even the coach, Zinedine Zidane participated through Twitter and Instagram in the aforementioned campaign, putting a black image with the hashtag #BlackOutTuesday, a message that would come to translate in Spanish as “Fade to black”. The Brazilian winger wanted to go a little further and added the message “We are not going to stop” along with a photograph of him in black and white.
