Madrid goes to Arabia … without Bale

Real Madrid travels today to Riyadh (capital of Saudi Arabia) to play this Wednesday the Classic against Barcelona. Those of Ancelotti, who enjoyed Sunday off after the brilliant victory against Valencia in the League, have trained in Valdebebas (11am, behind closed doors) and After that session, they will go to the airport to catch their flight, scheduled for 3:30 p.m. The journey will take about six hours, since they will land in Riyadh around 11:35 pm local time (two hours longer than in Spain). The white team will be staying at the luxurious Hilton Riyadh.

With the return of Carvajal assured, the doubts in the white expedition were Jovic, Bale and Mariano. The Serbian does travel, since last Saturday he tested negative in the PCR test he underwent and the new test to which he subsequently underwent confirmed that he has definitively overcome the disease. He trained normally with the rest of his teammates and will travel with them to be available in a competition he knows, because in 2020, when Madrid won it, he played the semifinals and the final (Benzema was injured and did not travel).

The Welshman suffers from back discomfort, while the striker withdrew from the Cup match against Alcoyano last Wednesday due to a muscle injury to his hamstrings, from which he is still recovering.
