Former Algerian international soccer player Rabah Madjer was sentenced this Thursday by the justice of his country to a sentence of six months in prison and 100,000 dinars (636 euros) accused of accounting “false statements”published the local press.

The judgment against the former athlete, 63 years old and who was captain of the Algerian team that won the African Cup in 1990, began on June 2 in the Sidi M’hamed court (Alger).
