The world of football is turning to Kun Agüero after it was learned that he will have to be at least three months off the pitch to treat a cardiac arrhythmia that forced him to retire in the first half of Barcelona-Alavés.
“Kun Agüero has undergone a diagnostic and therapeutic procedure by Dr. Josep Brugada. It is low and during the next three months the effectiveness of the treatment will be evaluated to determine his recovery process,” the Barça club reported this afternoon in a medical statement.
The reactions have not been long in coming and the footballer himself has put a message of thanks on his social networks. “I am well and with great courage to face the recovery process. I want to thank you all for so many messages of support and affection that make my heart stronger today,” the Argentine wrote on his twitter account.
Numerous clubs and footballers have wanted to send their support to Agüero, also from the eternal rival. Luka Modric, Madrid’s fourth captain, was the first white player to dedicate a few words of encouragement to the forward. “Good cheer, Kun. I wish you a speedy recovery. A hug”, put Modric on his Twitter account.
