Luis Hernández: “If I were to be a child again, I would dream of having come to Malaga before”

Luis Hernández, one of the few mortals who, fortunately, do not have social networks, has sent a very emotional farewell letter. He is one of the eight dismissed by the ERE formula implemented by the judicial administrator, José María Muñoz. Luis Hernández arrived in 2017 from Leicester for just over two million euros and had a contract until 2024. In three and a half seasons, he played 112 official matches, scored two goals and distributed three assists.

For your interest we reproduce the letter.

“As I land in my new destination, I fondly recall my first steps as a footballer, when I was still a child. I remember those dirt pitches, the balls that almost weighed more than me and above all I remember my dreams. Those dreams were the ones that gave me the strength to run more than the others, to endure the cold, the injuries and to be able to hit the ball as if it barely weighed. Those dreams were to become a professional, to be on TV, to win leagues and to be a world champion, dreams of a child.

If I had the opportunity to be that age again and to dream again, my dreams would be different, I would dream of having come before to play at Malaga C.F and never having had to leave, that would now be my dream as a child. Sometimes dreams end and this has come to an end, I am sad to be part of the current situation of the club, for that decline that I will always remember. But I'm proud to have been here, to have worn this shirt, to play at La Rosaleda filled with that blessed blue and white madness and to have been another Malagueño and Malaguista.

I am also grateful to the people who brought me, the ones who put ice on my shots, washed my clothes, took care of the grass, the ones who based on training tried to make me a better footballer, thank you MISTER. GRATEFUL to all the people at the club who have made my time here so wonderful. I leave with the dream of seeing the club again at the top, of feeling La Rosaleda sing very soon and that the child that I still carry inside will never forget that there was a dream, not dreamed, that marked my life for always!!! (sic)

Thank you so much for everything!!! Let's go Malaga !!!! “. (Sic).
