Luis Campos, one step away from replacing Miñambres at Celta

The Portuguese Luis Campos, former sports director of Monaco and Lille, has reached an agreement in principle with Celta de Vigo to assume the sports management of the Galician entity after the departure of Felipe Miñambres (Levante), they informed EFE club supplies.

Campos, who was without a team, will live his second stage in Spanish football after a brief stint at Real Madridwhich came from the hand of his compatriot Jose Mourinho, who asked for his incorporation to recruit young players.

The Portuguese made a name for himself as Monaco’s sporting director from 2013 to 2017.. In its last season, the team then coached by Leonardo Jardim managed to win Ligue 1, in addition to reaching the semifinals of the Champions League after eliminating Dortmund and Manchester City.
