Lugo and Leganés are trading higher after the marathon of days in Second

LaLiga SmartBank has not given truce. A total of five games have been played in 16 days. And when rotations were called to be the main protagonists, the happy coronavirus has crept in again. The positives have had several clubs in suspense and have made Alcorcón have only played three of their last five games and, as a consequence, Ponferradina and Sabadell have also assumed one less than the rest.

But nevertheless, This marathon – with two sections every week – has a clear winner: the Lugo de Nafti. The Franco-Tunisian coach took the reins with the team in decline and has achieved the best numbers in the category, which has served as a passport to enter the playoff. Galician they have taken thirteen points out of the last fifteen in play, yielding only a draw against Tenerife and beating theorists coconuts like Girona (3-0) and Rayo (1-0).

Leganés is also lagging behind. Those of Martí have signed direct promotion figures, adding twelve points, twice what I had done before facing these two weeks. The cucumber team has fallen once, by the minimum, against Sabadell. However, there are other squads that would accompany them in the upper area of this marathon classification. Espanyol, Sporting and Girona have accumulated ten points and that allows the first two to be at the top of the table real, in that fight they maintain for the leadership.

All those teams have come out of this difficult mission strengthened, but others have made waves with so much game in such a short time. The most affected have been Castellón and Alcorcón, who have not added a single point. Óscar Cano's pupils have had an added difficulty and that is that they have faced each other with the fittest rival (Lugo) and with four other possible candidates for promotion (Las Palmas, Girona, Almería and Sporting). The result? All lost. The same happens with the Alcorcón, whom COVID-19 and a diagnostic error deprived him of playing two days. Even so, the potters have fallen at the hands of Mallorca, Sporting and Logroñés, becoming the second red lantern.

Zaragoza and Fuenlabrada have not turned out well either. The Aragonese have drawn against Sabadell and Mallorca and that has been their only loot, so they remain at the gates of the danger posts. Less has been the damage for Madrid. Those three points – they signed tables with Cartagena, Logroñés and Tenerife – have taken Sandoval's men out of the promotion, but they have not let go of the struggle to return. There are still many kilometers to go in the silver category and new marathons ahead …
