Logroñés adds three more points against Unionistas (2-1)

Logroñés added three points to their locker after winning 2-1 against Unionistas this Friday at Las Gaunas. Logroñés came into the match with their spirits reinforced after winning away from home by a score of 0-2 against Valladolid B. Regarding the visiting team, Unionistas lost by a result of 0-1 in the previous match against Bilbao Ath. and was on a three-fight losing streak. After the result obtained, the Logroño team is fourth at the end of the match, while the Unionists are eighth.

The match started favorably for the local team, who took advantage of the occasion to open the scoring with a goal from Aridane in the 8th minute, ending the first period with a 1-0 result.

In the second half came the goal for Logroñés, who increased their scoring account with respect to their rival thanks to a goal from Fran Rodriguez in the 88th minute. The visiting team reduced differences through a goal from Pedraza near the end, in the 90th, ending the confrontation with a 2-1 result on the scoreboard.

Both coaches made moves on the benches. The Logroñés coach brought in Simic, Rodri and Siddiki for Diamanka, Iker Guarrotxena and Duba, while the Unionistas brought in Pitu Doncel, Jesús De Miguel, Cris Montes, Manu Sánchez and Pedraza for De La Nava, Pablo Espina, Héctor Nespral, Rayco Rodríguez and Ramiro Mayor.

During the 90 minutes of the match, a total of ten cards were shown. For Logroñés, the referee sanctioned Jesús Alfaro, Serantes, Rueda, Duba and Fer Cano with a yellow card, while for the Salamanca team he booked Piña, Antonio Marín, Héctor Nespral and Manu Sánchez and Mandi with a red card.

After overcoming the match, Logroñés was placed with 46 points, with a playoff position for promotion to the Second Division, in fourth place in the qualifying table at the end of the match, while Unionistas were in eighth place with 40 points.

The next match of the First RFEF for Logroñés is against Extremadura UD, while Unionistas will face Valladolid B.
