Llorente: “I eat, rest and train for soccer”

Marcos Llorente, player ofl Atlético de Madrid, declared this Monday, six days after the return of his team to the League, next Sunday in San Mamés against el Athletic Bilbao, that footballers must always be prepared for each situation and that he feeds, rests and trains for football.

“You have to always be prepared to be one hundred percent to help the team when the time comes. We have never lived standing so long without competing. And now is when you have to take care of all those issues like food, rest or recovery. We have been unemployed for a long time, we have not had time to prepare the matches well and on top of that they are very followed. You have to take care of everything in detail. In my case, I eat for soccer, I rest for soccer and I train for soccer ”, explained the midfielder, who was a forward in training on Monday, in an act of Movistar.

Llorente recalled the night of March 10 in Anfield, when they eliminated the Liverpool of the Champions League. “It was an amazing night“He said commenting on the victory won by his team against Liverpool at Anfield (2-3) with two of his goals.

That was the last shock that the rojiblancos played before the competitive break caused by the coronavirus health crisis: “The truth is that it was an incredible night. The whole team, all the fans, the whole club, we really enjoyed it. ”

“We had a moment in the game where the result was very against, they were comfortable attacking us a lot. In two isolated plays we got the goals to take that Anfield victory that few people expected ”, he pointed out during an act in which the details of LaLiga's return to Movistar were revealed.
